    Verdict: Worth the ¥40 if you care about art/design. The cosmetic pack is nice but non-essential. The artbook is the real value here.

    Premium Deluxe Edition (¥388 — +¥50 vs Deluxe, +¥90 vs Standard)

    "Legacy of the Oni" Armor Set

    An exclusive armor set inspired by previous Onimusha protagonists:

    • Samanosuke's Gauntlet (from Onimusha: Warlords) — Slightly faster Oni Gauge charge rate

    • Jubei's Headband (from Onimusha 2) — Increased Issen window (+2 frames)

    • Jacques' Cape (from Onimusha 3) — Faster soul absorption speed

    Important: These items have actual gameplay effects, unlike the Deluxe cosmetics. Jubei's Headband in particular — +2 frames on Issen — is a genuine advantage for players pursuing high-difficulty runs.

    Early Oni Gift Unlocks

    Three Oni Gifts are unlocked from the start (normally earned mid-game):

    • Oni Step

    This is a convenience item, not a power boost. You'd earn these naturally by the halfway point. For first-time players, it slightly smooths the early-game difficulty curve.
