Essential Gear
Before diving, get:
- Scuba gear — Bought at any diving shop ($15,000) or found free at the marina dock
- Submersible — Found at the research lab dock on the east coast
- Rebreather — Extends dive time from 30s to 5min
Shipwrecks
1. The Galleon (50m depth, southwest coast)
Spanish gold coin wreck from 1715 fleet. Contains:- $50,000 in gold bars (sell at pawn shop)
- Unique cutlass melee weapon
- Treasure map piece #3 of 8
Danger: 3-4 sharks patrol this wreck. Bring a knife or speargun.
2. Modern Freighter (120m, east of port)
A cargo ship sunk in the 1980s. Contains:- Briefcase with $25,000 cash
- 5 weapon crates (random weapons)
- Drug packages ($10,000 each, 8 packages)
- Secret submarine blueprint
Danger: Extremely deep. Rebreather required. Current makes navigation tricky.
3. Drug Runner Speedboat (15m, keys area)
Shallow wreck, easy to access. Contains:- $15,000 loose cash
- 2 SMGs
- Stash note leading to another location
Underwater Caves
Vice City Aquifer (North Beach coast)
Massive underwater cave system. Entrance hidden behind kelp at 20m depth. Inside:- Air pockets throughout (no rebreather needed for most of it)
- Bioluminescent chamber (screenshot spot!)
- Alien hieroglyph secret on back wall
- Collectible: "Ancient Skull" (1 of 10)
Lost Tunnels (Downtown waterfront)
Smuggler tunnels from prohibition era. Now flooded. Access through a rusted grate (use sticky bomb to open).- $100,000 in gold bars in the main chamber
- Secret mission trigger: notes about a heist on a yacht
- Unique weapon: Antique Tommy Gun
Hidden Treasure
Treasure Map Chain
8 map pieces scattered across shipwrecks, caves, and NPC encounters. All 8 lead to:The Final Treasure (underground bunker, swampland)
- $500,000 cash
- Gold-plated revolver (unique skin)
- Achievement: "Vice City Treasure Hunter"
Ocean Wildlife Spawns

Diving Tips
- Listen for the metal detector ping when near treasure
- The seafloor texture changes near wrecks — look for disturbed sand
- Use photo mode underwater for amazing screenshots
- Sharks are distracted by fish — throw fish chunks to create an opening
